People are driven by an emotional conflict between greed and fear. When things look really strong, you want to stay in and get as much as you possibly can. But then all of a sudden you've missed that and it comes back down. You just missed out on the other 999 because you didn't cash out the peak. It only matters when you decide to cash it in. If you're trying to speculate and grow it for something you need short term, we have a bigger problem of having not planned or prepare for what you needed in the first place.
