The Importance of Parenting Your Daughter

I grew up in a world with the understanding that parental relationships are transactional. This is what I'm thinking about when I think about parenting my daughter. The first layer is like, I'm responsible for raising you safely, providing for you and nurturing for you. The second layer is hopefully when she's older and able, I have cultivated a loving reciprocal relationship That we have grown together.
