Durham's Relationship With Thomas
Froudacity is often understood to be a portmanteau of Froud's name and audacity, not mendacity. While Durham nowhere openly criticizes Thomas in the lone star of Liberia, his book is nevertheless a radical rejection of Thomas's political vision. By contrast, Durham does openly criticize Blyton, yet this serves only to show how ideologically in tune with Blyton he really is.
