What Happened to the Jensheng Regime?

The failure of the Nanjing expedition also played a role in his decision to go to Taiwan. Jenshengong had this feeling that the Qing were able to concentrate all its resources against him. So in many ways, if he didn't invade Taiwan, he would always be fighting defense. And one day, he probably couldn't take it anymore. I mean, he's going to be exterminated. Right? If I remember correctly, he conquers Taiwan in 1661 but then he dies immediately the next year. Yet his regime carries on for another two decades under his son, Jensheng Jin.
