The original mutation occurred in the mouse that was identified at jack's in the early 19 fifties. This was a new mutation that had arisen, and almost certainly wouldn't be identical to the one that had arisen earlier. So i got those mice, and we took them to rockefeller, what did you call them? Two jays so the o b, the first mutation, we referred to as one j, that's just the nomenclature. And the second one was o b, two j and we took the o b organs out of the one jays and the two jays using these techniques called northern blotting which is not to be confused with western blotting
