US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm spoke about how the IRA will help accelerate the low carbon transition. She also noted that issues with permitting, the workforce and supply chains could hold back much needed development if they aren't addressed. To better understand how DOE is implementing the IRA, I spoke with Jigar Shah, who is director of the DOE loan programs office.
