Sinn Fein's IRAs Campaign in Northern Ireland
A far larger proportion of the nationalist population in Northern Ireland now sees the IRAs campaign as having been justified than did at the time. I think we need to be very critical here of the Irish government, which has sat on its hands really while this kind of narrative has taken hold. It's extraordinary that the most objective, well-researched, dispassionate record of the who died is called Lost Lives and you can't buy a copy. You either have to spend about €3, €400 in an auction site, or you might get it in the library, but you might not. This is astonishing. The human rights of those people were violated in the most obscene ways
