Are You a Scientific Socialist or a Utopian?

I think at different times, he calls himself both. I don't know if he uses the word scientific socialist, he definitely uses the word and the framing of science. At other points, he doubles down on this idea of I am a utopian,. But precisely that imposition of an abstract, a priori ideal onto society is that utopian move in his work. And it's important to say there are some things that he gets right here but ultimately there is this weird contradiction within his work where he kind of vacillates between this utopian and more scientific thought.
