Is Paracetamol Anti-Inflammatory?
Paracetamol and acetaminophen are the same thing, right? Yes. So it must... Tylenol would be the American name. But it has the same effect as ibuprofen enclosing the ductus arteriosus. It just doesn't act upon the prostaglandins involved in inflammation. There is metabolites that are produced by the breakdown in the liver of paracetamol. They have very good absorption capacity. Their bioavailability is pretty good but their metabolizers are different. A lot of them are lipophilic.
