How to Deal With Anger in Relationships?

I have a hard time tangibly understanding what that looks like for me. What it looks like is setting up some time where you imagine your father there. You let the emotion, you let the anger come up. It helps to hit something, because it physically starts moving the energy through the body in a safe way. I think there's a piece of you that is just scared to go there, because violence and anger you have associated with your dad, and you vowed to be nothing like him. So i think that's more of the block than not knowing how to do it or what to do.
