The Advantages of Community Colleges

I've often said that that community colleges are really sort of America's distribution to Higher Ed. We don't pigeonhole students early on in a lot of developed countries by the time you're in eighth grade You're either on the college track the university track or you're on the technical track I mean we do a little bit of that with AP classes and so forth But just because you didn't do well in high school doesn't mean you can't go into higher education. And it's one of my favorite things about teaching at a two-year college to be honest with you, is seeing people who had no Interest in college coming out of high school come back 20 years later.
