The guiding question that sort of led us back to the hieroglyphs is what does it mean to be a human being? How do we write humans? In both cases, you have a not necessarily a definition, but a sort of a mandatory shape that whatever you are writing has to take. So in order to be legible, letters have to have a certain type of shape,.
