Spinal Anesthesia or General Anesthesia for Hip Fracture Surgery in Older Adults

The regained trial was published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2021. The primary outcome was a composite of death or inability to walk approximately 10 feet or 3 meters independently over the walk or arcane at 60 days after randomization. A total of 1,600 patients were enrolled, 795 were assigned to receive Spinal Anesthesia and 805 to receive General Anesthesia. And as Sam mentioned, our findings ended up being that we found similar rates of delirium in each group.
