I want to live in a place where people have an active relationship with the land. I think even if climate change is not an existential threat, it doesn't mean that destroying the Amazon rainforest is not still something we need to be deeply concerned about. My dad said something to me, which really struck me once he said that he wanted to create more habitat with every house that he built than he destroyed. So my dad built living roofs on top of his houses. Right? Beautiful. And that was like, I don't know how effective he's as that actually realizing that goal, but that's the type of world that I want toLive in.
