Ridley Scott - Is the Director Going to Show Up?

I admittedly went into this movie with somewhat low expectations. It was much better done than i was expecting in almost every way, except for one really, really big one. I think some of the scenes could have been shortened on a script level,. But the editing between ings, and this is god awful.
