What Happened to Stilico in Britannia in 396?

If Stilico was in Britannia, if he managed to find the time, it probably wouldn't have been until pretty much the end of what might have been the second Pictish War. He certainly wasn't there in 396 because we know he was still in the continent gathering troops. And then he was consumed with dealing with the threat of Alaric and his gothic army. All in all, the late 390s were a busy time for Stilico,. Not to mention that he had to deal with arranging the marriage of his daughter to Honorius. It was just a big mess.
