It's theorized that maybe possibly it's hard to know also because of the scariness of an explosion and just panic and all that. It seems based on what they were saying or what they were going through that they may have been suffering from hypoxia. And this happens, hypoxic can happen really fast. Once you don't have enough oxygen, it's like you can't perform simple mental tasks.
