What Made Tulsa the Oil Capital of the World?
The oil boom had made Tulsa what was known at that point in time, the oil capital of the world. While African Americans weren't directly involved in the oil part of it, it was really kind of the, the tangential jobs, for example. They paid better for some of the menial jobs that would not pay in a place like Chicago or Atlanta or even Washington D.C. The best way to become wealthy in a way that's very inclusive is in the stock market. You've got to take your money if you're living on Black Wall Street and take it to this racist non-racist institution and continue to bank.
