The Interrelatedness of the Sacraments

When we find ourselves removed or our relationship with God has become estranged because of sin, then sin is remitted from it and taken away. And in that too, we're readmitted to the sacrament of Holy Communion. There's a really interesting point there that union between the individual and God that takes place within the sacrament of confession allows us to be united and reunited with the entirety of the ecclesial body of Christ. So you see that both are directed towards unity in a real and direct way.
