The Disconnection Between Parenting and Violence
As an adolescent I really didn't understand why there was such an emphasis on behavior right. My mom and my dad like having an immigrant experience truly sacrificing and putting their needs last when it came to raising my sister and I. It's very easy to feel resentful at your parents if you don't get your needs met as a child. While my mom might have used la chunka and other forms of corporal punishment I was a hanger about loud yelling the emotional what I call emotional and verbal chunk metasos which is essentially violence. "I'm planting these for the future we're planting validation we're planting empathy," she said.
