Lawrence and Catherine Mansfield - A Novel Review
I've always had a soft spot for Lawrence because of Catherine Mansfield. She made sure that he was that she wrote in her well, that he was to be given one of her books. And so I don't, he doesn't need to be rehabilitated as far as I'm concerned. He's far from being in the in the doldrums from a reputation point of view. But I think Wilson is right. Compared to all the other modernists and the writers of his time, he hasn't been accorded the importance of other writers that he knew. So if anyone has or will ever get to the depths of Lawrence, this book has done it.
