Only 3% of land in Rwanda is owned by women, but about 90% of the land is worked by women. Giles set up a project called Land for Women where we would set up cooperatives for 25 women in each farm. We have a five year educational program that requires everything from banking because they've never had bank accounts. But we also teach climate smart farming so that means we don't have just monocrops.
