The Future of Ukraine's Air Force

I think that Ukraine is going to get Western planes. The only question is how long it takes. It's not going to have them in time for the offensive that's coming up. But if Western countries act now and they realize the seriousness of the problems that Ukraine is facing with air defense, they could conceivably get F-16s or indeed others. I think there are concerns about red lines in escalation and how Russia might respond. There's no point waiting and dithering, as we did with tanks, only to send them once more damage has been done to Ukraine's military prospects.
