Is the Desire Leading to Destruction?

I think in the seve when people were still breaking free of the puritan shackles of the fifties, you know, that people look to sex as a type of quest that could deliver a fulfilment of self. I don't think people find places to openly express and explore it, even now, and especially in other forms of reading. And i guess what i find interesting is the ways in which literature continues to push the envelope on the subject of desire. You can see something like fear of flying that came on to the scene with so much titillation, so much scandal. To day, i think of tv shows like girls, or a raven lelane's novel lust,
