In fiction, it's nearly always like the society equivalent of a bullet thead. The zombe plague is out, and in a couple of days, everything's fallen apart. You have these things that have been set in place. And they really set the stage for what's going to happen. I suspect a big part of why we conceive popularly, of of collapses in the past is based on how we look at it kind of in fiction.
