The Effects of the Pandemic on Social Media
Some of the most interesting videos from these influencers were actually published on YouTube and other social media channels too. So there was certainly for a proportion of these patients a modeling scheme that was happening. Some people found that when they decreased their exposure to such stimuli that their problems improved greatly. There seems to be an increase in social media chatter about borderline personality disorder, autism and ADHD. Now many of my patients who originally presented with ticks have remitted and now they are seeking diagnoses of ADHD, autism or borderline personality.
