Socialism in the 20th Century

The valleys of south Wales sent the most volunteers to fight in spain. The new left was pushing for democratization of unions and work places. It did overlap with sort of psychodelic culture of hippiculture. And arguably, what those people were doing as they were looking for community wasn't really interested in solidarity. They weren't engaging in practices of solidarity.
