I think back to the beginning of the book that true literature can only exist when it is created not by diligent and reliable officials but by mad men hermits heretics dreamers rebels and skeptics. It feels like you're performing an inversion the way you took being accused of a witch and explored it through the lens of the myth of Baba Yaga with the Fox at least in the in the east being a female demon demonic personpersonification of female arrows. I was hoping maybe we could talk a little bit about your thoughts about being accused not just to being a traitor but a being a witch which is decidedly gendered. What sort of work do you think is happening by leveling that accusation
