The Clotilda and Dianna

Scientists have sequenced the genum of some one who died at pompeii after the eruption of mount vesuvius in the year 79. Researchers extracted diana from two sets of remains that were found close to each other at a building called the house of the craftsman. One appeared to be from a man between the ages of 35 and forty, and the other from a woman estimated to be about 50. This gives us a glimpse into the possible diversity and mobility of people living in this part of the world almost two thousand years ago. The tortoise was removed in stages, and an egg was found still inside her body.
