Interdependence Is the Foundation of True Independence

We have dependence dependence. That means you cannot take care of yourself. You means you need someone else to take care of you. Well, the next level is now called inter inter which means between I N T E R interdependence and cooperation. Interdependence can only be built on a foundation of true independence. What does that mean? He's saying that independence must come first.
