People feel increasingly that they have to be perfect in order to survive. The self esteem movement, which has its kind of roots in all this humanistic psychology, people think that deep down there often do itself as perfect anyway. And it's just not true and it's incredibly toxic. We're still living in this neoliberal environment where we're telling people, you can be anything you want to be - the world is your oyster.
