i think what we're saeing is are what i would describe as a reassertion of the identity of the nation state. And you see very clearly if you look at the tramp phenomenon, where you have a very sort of selfish er national identity and perspective projected by the united states. But we have to remember that this isn't new in us. I mean, the isolationism that is represented by some aspects of the trump foreign policy has been there as a strong theme in ame an politics since the nineteenth century.
