The Importance of Open-Mindedness

I just love people who are open to new ideas. But I don't like people who are so open-minded that their brains fall out, if you know the expression. Getting the balance right between those two is extraordinarily difficult. And one of the things that surprised me as I grew up was to discover that there are people who are really good at getting one field right and really bad at getting another field wrong. So I think I would urge young people to not expect everyone to agree with them on everything.
