i did appreciate at one point hamilton's kind of equivocation between like these drugs because not only did he argue against the sort of medicalization aspect of it but also was kind of a argument against it. He called it like psychedelic exceptionalism where they're treated as like you know these very special drugs that are different from other drugs like cocaine and i find that comparison to be interesting in a way. To me it almost seems like there is something addictive about these I mean absolutely in the in the new york magazine podcast i think a recurring theme with a lot of these people that ended up having very bad abusive experiences.
