Blue Velvet, Eraser, and David Foster Wallace

The 90s were a unique time in which filmmakers like David Lynch got a chance to emerge. There's something rich about them that is exciting for me. I think now maybe one of the things that I love about lynch and Twin Peaks, the return brought this out in me even when the show wasn't emotional,. It was the idea that you are going to make work that is about something that matters to you and people are going to meet you there. And if you don't, then it's being made so much of what your audience wants at every level.
