Professor Klaus Schwab founded the World Economic Forum in 1971 as an independent platform for dialogue among business, government, academia, and civil society. Under his leadership, it became a key global institution promoting public-private collaboration and shaping ideas like stakeholder capitalism and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. With his wife, Hilde, he created the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship to foster innovation and social impact worldwide.
