How to Budget Into a New Month
Budgeting into that next month is a natural extension of rule one. You get to the end of the month and it was like, oh, I still have money available and ready to assign. What does this money need to do? Well, it needs to be for next month. So I go to next month and just kind of worked my way to getting that month ahead. And in that during that time, I didn't have a full month's worth of funds so I didn't feel like I needed that holding category. But then once I was that full month ahead, it made more sense to hold off, keep the money in a holding category and build that next month
