Is There a Planet Out There?

We needed oxygen to knop be around, and then we needed thes other life to exist for a while. We are just now able to probe the atmospheres of planets around other stars by seeing how light passes through them as they block their stars. And so knowing these things might help us find or maybe our second or fourth home, or a retirement home, maybe for humanity.
