The Stalls of Batcha Stakefidrel was adapted by Lawrence Gordon Clark in the 70s. It's about a cleric, Archdiak and Haines, who becomes very sort of impatient about his predecessors' longevity in the role. And he's not long started when he seems to be kind of afflicted by various odd happenings. We realise he's being haunted by something and we start to guess there might be a connection between what's affecting him and the sudden demise of his predecessor.
