The War for Talent

In the late 90s McKinsey came up with the term the war for talent and that's had enormous performative effects. This spawned a whole industry, roles within organizations, it's even had a role in constructing the idea of talent as an organization. So this ties back to a point that Matt's made where Foucault has talked about knowledge as productive. Knowledge doesn't just record what we already know it actually produces new understandings.
