Spectre's New York Girl Group

There's No Other Like My Baby became the first release on Fill As Records with Barbara Alston singing lead. Spectre was becoming a perfectionist, and apparently spent 50 hours on the mix for that record. He had his own New York girl group, one that could compete with the Bobats or the Chantels or the Chirrells. But Spectre didn't care - he wasn't going to cut Big Top in. While Spectre was waiting for the money to come in on the first Fill As record, he took another job with Liberty Records,. making a single flop record with them with an unknown singer named Odry Wilson then quit, keeping his $30,000 advance.
