I was working on this book just as the dna revolution was really hitting the ground in terms of application. And so some of the biggest studies that are still the big ones to day, two years later, were just coming out at that time. So i was able to really ride the wave, you know, of this revolution of a d and a advances. I just do feel lucky, really, throughout my career. But the book was an especially fortunate timing because, as it was coming out, penguin was being very brave about publishing it.
