We have this neurological phenomenon of mirroring. Our feeling of our own bodies is responding in real time to everything we see at a low degree as if it's happening to us. As a social primate species, this is extremely adaptive for moving through groups. If we practice certain kinds of movements, then our mirroring neuron system responds more strongly when we see those movements being performed by other people.
