In-work poverty is higher than out-of-work poverty in Britain. 40 million Americans around about 40 million Americans are on food stamps. So there is a massive problem here. But that's why we have working tax credits in order to reduce inequality even for people in work. I think the state has a profoundly important role to play in the provision of healthcare, for instance. The argument for socialised healthcare, for me, seems indisputable,. What about education?
