The Slave and Life Drawing

When I first went to the slave it was a shock to me and my work went off completely. The emphasis at the slave was on life drawing yes and I couldn't see the point of life drawing, he says. He then realized that he needed to work from subjects that mattered to him such as his mother's body in her charcoal drawings.
