Bob Greene: I read a book called, rethinking positive thinking of Bighabrielle Uldengen. She would say, look at the goals of strategies, consider the possible obstacles with and then if these obstacles come up, how are we going to handle it? He says this is one of the most effective ways for people to think about what they want in their lives. Greene: One of the things I didn't do as a beginning therapist is I didn't prepare people. How do you prepare people to hear a message they don't want to hear?
