The Importance of Antibiotics in COPD Exacerbations
Two days of levofloxacin is non-inferior to seven days in terms of cure rate, need for additional antibiotics and all other secondary outcomes. They did use the 500 milligram dose. And then the best line in this entire publication is in the discussion the authors literally wrote this statement. It may be argued that shorter courses were found to be as effective as longer courses because perhaps antibiotics are largely ineffective at any dose. So I wouldn't even be bold enough to write that sentence but kudos to the authors.
