Dr. Betzner: We have a system where a nurse doc is attached to every incoming patient, private or not. And so that really leads to an issue in a much broader scale in the whole department because the docs aren't seeing the patients at all. They're just on the phone the whole time. He says EPLs get crews out onto the roads 20 minutes faster per crew than before they had the role. Dr. Lang: The data showed clearly that at least in one of the two hospitals where I was piloted, we reduced the EMS stay in the EMS park. But you know, we got to look beyond simply numbers.
