The Passion Principle: Is It Reproducible Inequality?

There is relatively little variation in the attachment that college students have to the idea of pursuing their passion after college across class lines. Most middle class, most working class, most upper class students really desire to find work that they're passionate about. The ability to access jobs that are decently paying and stable and in one's passion differs starkly by class. And that's because it often requires financial safety nets of being able to pay your rent while you're trying to find a job that aligns with your passion.
