There's also a cost saving element to being able to util s a something that's pre trained, a maybe fine tunit. Companies make ne and they often want to keep their models proprietary or something like that. So if you can spend a bit extra during the training phase, but end up with a model that's a bit more computationally efficient for inference than potentially that could lead to savings in ter of dollars spent renting instances in the cloud. I guess i'm the only person on the coal working at a it a for profit, you know, commercial entity.
